Batac City, Ilocos Norte District recently held the awarding ceremony of the Photo Essay Competition themed ‘No Matter What Happens, Let Us Serve God So We Will Attain Salvation.’ The awarding took place on August 2, 2026 at the Batac Congregation house of worship compound.

Brother Allan J. Ladera, district supervising minister, explained that “this competition energizes local chroniclers and other brethren as they gather documents, photos, and videos that show the zeal of our brethren.” In doing so, he added, they are able to contribute to “preserving the Church’s rich history while providing inspiring content for publication and broadcast across platforms like that of the Pasugo: God’s Message, INCTV, and INCRadio.”

The district leadership led the giving of awards to the winners of each category.

The local congregations of Fortuna, Batac, Darat, and Bulbulala, emerged as the respective winners of Propagation, Christian Family Organizations (CFO), Edification, and Socio-civic categories.

Besides Charize Baltazar, Darry Vynne Domingo, Diane Nicole Corpuz, and Alyza Janine Pagala, representatives of the aforesaid congregations respectively, 28 other participants joined the contest

“Through the help of the Lord God, every congregation across the district actively united in this competition,” observed Brother Richard Macaspac, district chronicler. “With dedication and enthusiasm, they compiled photos of the activities triumphantly conducted over the past year to serve as each local’s entry across all categories.”

“It brings joy that our congregation was recognized as one of the category winners,” expressed Domingo. “I’m grateful to the Church Administration for launching these uplifting activities that keep aflame our zeal in serving the Lord God, and the Lord Jesus Christ.” — With assistance from Vily Ramon Ramos
