Brethren in the Ecclesiastical District of New Zealand North were not remiss in commemorating the 112th anniversary of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) on July 27, 2026, for which they held celebrations a day before and evangelical missions on the day of the anniversary.

Anniversary celebrations
The district supervising minister, Brother Dennis Dahunan, and the assistant district supervising minister, Brother Jonas Medrano, respectively led anniversary celebrations that were held at PIA Event Centre in Auckland, New Zealand and Mungavin Hall in Porirua, Wellington. The former venue was filled with brethren from congregations in Auckland, Waikato, and Bay of Plenty regions while the latter venue with those from congregations in the Wellington and Hawke’s Bay regions.

Programs in both venues featured performances of INC original music led by Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers, highlighting songs of faith and thanksgiving to God. Brethren also prepared and shared with each other dishes representative of different cultures.

“This anniversary celebration reminds us of God’s unwavering guidance to the Church throughout the years,” shared Brother Arturo Martin, resident minister of the Local Congregation of Manukau.

Children’s Worship Service (CWS) teacher Nakita Fahamakioa of Massey Congregation, likewise expressed gratitude, saying, “Celebrating this milestone with the brethren strengthened my faith and reminded me of the countless blessings God continues to bestow upon His Church.”

Evangelical missions
The following day, July 27, various local congregations across the district united in conducting evangelical missions to share the biblical teachings upheld in the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ).

Church members in the Local Congregations of Auckland, North Shore, and Massey brought along their guests at the newly acquired place of worship of the Local Congregation of Massey, where Brother Dahunan officiated. Meanwhile, those in the Local Congregations of Hutt Valley, Waikanae, and Wellington conducted theirs at Redwood School in Tawa, Wellington. Other local congregations likewise held theirs at respective venues officiated by their resident ministers.

Explaining biblical teachings concerning God’s plan of salvation, the officiating ministers emphasized the importance of entering the true Church so that people will have the firm hope of receiving God’s promise of salvation on Judgment Day.

“We hope the guests we invited will continue listening to the biblical teachings upheld in the Iglesia Ni Cristo,” said Brother Benito Sumang III, resident minister of the Local Congregation of Massey.

“Inviting guests to hear God’s words is one way we can share our faith with others,” said choir member, Jercel Ollet from the same congregation. “I’m thankful to the Church Administration for continuously encouraging us to participate in such works that bring more people closer to God.”
