“Aside from fostering good physical health and wellness among CWS teachers and officers, this activity also aims to strengthen our bond,” Alfe Monforte, CWS teacher, and one of the organizers of “Stride & Connect.” The said physical fitness activity was held at the Neopolitan Jogging Fields, Barangay Fairview on July 4, 2026. Children’s Worship Service (CWS) officers from the Local Congregation of Ecopark in the Ecclesiastical District of Quezon City, Philippines took part.

After a prayer held in the congregation’s house of worship, the attendees proceeded to the venue. Before being led warm-up exercises, they were first informed of the activity’s mechanics.

In the activity, the participants were classified into three groups, namely, sprinters, striders, and sightseers whose goal is to complete 5 laps (approximately 5 kilometers) around the field. Medals were given to those who were able to finish the activity.

Shamsa Mae Garcia, CWS officer, shared, “I had a great time, and it felt refreshing to exercise while enjoying the warmth of the sun.” Meanwhile, Hazel Rallos, CWS place of worship president, expressed, “It was heartwarming to be part of this activity which is of great help for us officers.”

In behalf of the officers, Brother Christian Jezer Estacio, resident minister, stated, “The CWS teachers and officers in our congregation will strive to do their best in helping the Church Administration mold the children of Church members towards being active and faithful people of God who will continue serving Him no matter what happens.”
