The Angeles Extension of the Local Congregation of Parang, in the Ecclesiastical District of Marikina, Philippines, marked its first anniversary with a special worship service and a musical concert on July 4 and 6, 2026, respectively.
Brother Blas Mc Gyver F. Sandoval, Parang Congregation’s resident minister, and Brother Gener R. Necio, the extension’s resident ministerial worker, led the members throughout the events, from preparation to implementation.
Brother Cyrus Jose E. Dizon, Marikina District supervising minister, officiated at the sacred gathering held in the extension’s place of worship, during which the brethren offered thanks and praises for the Lord’s blessings.
In his homily, Brother Dizon reminded the brethren of the Church Administration’s call that every Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) member must uphold their devoted services to God.
“The greatest way to celebrate this milestone is to thank and praise God,” said Brother Necio. “It remains fresh in our memories that … the establishment of this extension [and] our unceasing services held here are all due to God’s loving-kindness.”
The anniversary celebration continued with a musical concert spearheaded by local Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers, which was held two days later at the Marikina Hotel & Convention Center.
Brother Dizon graced the event with his presence. He was accompanied by Brothers Benjamin L. Daos Jr., assistant district supervising minister; Alejandro B. Taguines, district Church officers overseer; and Christian P. Pajarillo, district Light of Salvation overseer.
The program commenced with the opening remarks delivered by Brother Santiago A. Payot Jr., local CFO overseer, after he led the prayer.
Afterward, talented Binhi members danced to an INC original song, “Happy Victory.” Aubrey Norielle O. Magdato and Stephanie M. Desoacido performed their rendition of Ako’y Iyong Ihatid Sa Bayang Banal (Lead Me To The Holy City). The Christian Society for the Differently-abled (CSD) officers performed Nananalig (Believing) through sing-and-sign.
The attendees were also delighted with the interactive games prepared for them.
Before the activity concluded, Brother Necio delivered his closing remarks and led a prayer.
“We are grateful to God because we got to witness this milestone and He allowed to have these activities be conducted in its commemoration,” expressed Mariel Eunice Bautista, a choir member from the Angeles Extension.
Myra C. Sumalinog, KADIWA and CSD officer, felt glad as her and fellow officers’ efforts in organizing the musical concert “were not in vain because we witnessed how happy the brethren were in every part of the program. This activity fostered our brotherly love for one another which is vital as we perform our God-given duties altogether.”
“We thank God for He has blessed us with the opportunity to help in providing a place for the growing number of Church members here,” enthused couple Geric and Aireene Angeles, who donated a part of their property for the extension’s place of worship. “As He adds more years to the extension, we promise to keep our unity with the Church Administration especially for the spiritual welfare of our fellow brethren.” — With assistance from Marikina District Multimedia
