In compliance with the Christian teaching of helping those in need, Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Ecclesiastical District of Trece Martires City, Cavite participated, in various capacities, in a blood donation drive at Naic Stadium, Antero Soriano Highway, Naic, Cavite on May 2, 2026.

“Through activities like this, the brethren in our district show their love for their fellowmen,” Brother Benjamin Buena, district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer, said. “This is how the brethren demonstrate their unity with the Church Administration: having concern towards extending lives of those in need.”

The district’s Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS), Buklod, KADIWA, and Binhi officers united their efforts in facilitating the activity.

Out of the many volunteers, 131 qualified as donors after passing the prescribed screening process that included vital signs monitoring and medical check-up.

The Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital staff received the collected blood for future use.

Aside from being able to help others, donating blood is also beneficial to the donor, according to Vanderbilt Costa. “Regularly donating blood helps the body produce new blood cells, strengthens the immune system, and reduces stress. It also helps lower blood pressure and serves as a way for individuals to have their own blood screened for other potential health conditions,” said the district CMDPS president.
