The Local Congregation of Makiling in the Ecclesiastical District of Calamba City, Laguna, Philippines, conducted an evangelical mission to proclaim the pure gospel, following a Pasugo: God’s Message distribution drive on May 1, 2026.

Aside from adhering to the call to intensify the work of spreading the true Christian faith, the said propagation activities were their way of celebrating the birthday of Brother Angelo Eraño V. Manalo, the Deputy Executive Minister of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), which fell on the same day.

Led by Brother Jonrhiz M. De Guzman, resident ministerial worker, the brethren started the day with a Pasugo: God’s Message magazine distribution to the residents of barangays Makiling and Puting Lupa.

Among the more than 200 recipients of the said magazine was a Catholic member who introduced herself as Joylyn Plaza. “This can help me learn more about the Church Of Christ,” she said.

Meanwhile, Emmanuel Torres, a deacon, firmly believes that “God calls many people to become His servants through [God’s teachings that] the magazine [discusses in its religious articles], as well. And so, I will always share this with others.”

Later that day, the brethren invited their nonmember relatives, friends, and those whom they had given Pasugo magazines to, for the evangelical mission.

Brother De Guzman officiated at the evangelistic event during which he highlighted the biblical teachings concerning the true worship of God that leads to salvation and eternal life.

“The biblical lesson sparked interest in me to further learn the Church’s beliefs,” shared Sammy Bacsa, a Catholic member.

On behalf of the brethren, Brother De Guzman made a promise, saying, “We will continue to unite in all the Church’s endeavors, for our soul’s welfare and the glory of our Almighty God.”
