Volunteerism among members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) shone through the blood donation activities conducted in Capas, Tarlac District, and the other in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija District, both in Central Luzon, Philippines.

Capas, Tarlac District

Capas, Tarlac District held its blood donation activity on April 18, 2026 at the Capas Event Center, along Provincial Road of the province.

District Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS) officers and medical staff of its partner hospital, Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital, facilitated the screening of aspiring blood donors and the collection process.

“United in one purpose, the brethren participated because of their desire to help others, as God has commanded,” said Darell Dela Cruz, one of the organizers from Capas Congregation, about the activity’s success.

The humanitarian activity collected a total of 135 bags of blood for the hospital.

Euan Blanco, a first-time donor from the same congregation, encouraged her fellow brethren to donate blood “because such a small act can have a big impact to those in need through our collective efforts.”

Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija District

Theirs was held on April 25, 2026 at the conference room of the Local Congregation of Cabanatuan City, spearheaded by the district CMDPS officers and in partnership with Dr. Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center.

“For me, it’s very important that I myself donate blood,” shared Brother Charles Barlis, Sta. Arcadia Congregation resident ministerial worker. “I have to lead them by example in helping others even through donating blood,” he added.

Rezielle Yvone Sulit, district CMDPS president, is grateful to the Church Administration for “this activity provides an opportunity to do good for the community, particularly to those whose lives need saving. We promise to remain zealous in uniting with this kind of activity.” — With assistance from Kyle Ronuald Arellano and Abby Amante
