With its select talented brethren’s rendition of the Iglesia Ni Cristo original song “Anuman Po Ang Mangyari (No Matter What),” the Local Congregation of Manukau won the Best Iglesia Ni Cristo Music Video (INCMV) Award in the “INCMV Awards 2026” conducted in the Ecclesiastical District of New Zealand North.

Held on April 19, 2026 at 128 Victoria Street West, Pukekohe, New Zealand, the event’s proceedings were streamed live to the venues where brethren from the local congregations of Rotorua, Tauranga, Hutt Valley, and Wellington gathered. Though far from the main venue—the first two located at the Bay of Plenty region of the country, and the latter two in the Wellington region—they were able to witness this activity as they also have their INCMV entries.

Brother Dennis Dahunan, district supervising minister, delivered the opening remarks, expressing appreciation to the Church Administration for supporting the activity and to the brethren for their concerted efforts to produce Christian music videos that bespeak their firm faith in God.

Afterwards, the local congregations respectively received awards: Northshore and Hastings for Best in Promoting Christian Values, Manukau South (Viewership Award), Tauranga and Wellington (Best Production Team), Papakura and Franklin (Best Editing Team), Hutt Valley and Rotorua (Best Cinematography), and Hamilton (Best Concept).

Right after the aforementioned congregations, Joel Santayo from Massey Congregation was awarded “Best Director,” thereby leaving the brethren all the more eager for the final results, as there were only two left waiting to be awarded, Auckland and Manukau.

Not long after, cheers filled the venue as the former placed second and the latter securing the top spot. Theirs were the only INCMV entries played in full during this awarding ceremony, those of others just glimpses, as the viewing and preliminary judging of all these started a week prior. These were evaluated based on Christian values, viewership, cinematography, production, concept, and video editing.

“We were filled with joy and gratitude to God, knowing this was the result of our collective efforts,” enthused Marni Reyes, director of the district’s Best INCMV awardee. “Despite the challenges, we relied on prayer and remained united, which strengthened not only our efforts but also our faith.”

Sharing with Reyes the collective joy wrought by winning was Ailene Pacis, cinematographer of the same entry—the district’s Best INCMV awardee. “We were surprised and filled with joy, giving all praises to God for this blessing. Notwithstanding the challenges, we keep united while hoping for His help, which inspired us to continue on.”
