The Ecclesiastical District of Albay, in the Philippines, recently established the Vinisitahan Extension of the Dancalan Local Congregation. Its inaugural worship service was held on March 28, 2026, the same day the Church Administration approved its establishment.

The said occasion was held at the extension’s newly built 120-seater house of worship located at Barangay Vinisitahan, Donsol, Sorsogon.

Brother Eric Zaratan, district supervising minister, officiated at the inaugural worship service. In the biblical lesson he preached, he encouraged the congregants to not worry nor be troubled by the difficult circumstances today, but instead draw near to God by means of prayer, especially in their new house of worship.

“I’m so happy and thankful,” said Jojit Domo, head deacon, who received a certificate of appreciation from the Church Administration for his generosity in donating his land on which the house of worship was built. “We now have our own house of worship closer to our homes where we can all the more worship and serve God.”

Also given recognition was Angelita Miranda for her considerable contribution for the construction of the new chapel.

Two areas of the Dancalan Congregation were brought together to constitute the Vinisitahan Extension. Some brethren from the said areas used to walk about six kilometers to be able to attend worship services.

“This development not only brought the worship services closer to the brethren, saving them time and effort, but it has also further strengthened their faith,” expressed Brother Edelmar Cariaga, the congregation’s resident minister. “We are very thankful to our Lord God and to the Church Administration led by Brother Eduardo V. Manalo for approving the establishment of this extension.”  — With assistance from Meljun Estrellado
