On November 22, 2025, the Ecclesiastical District of Palawan, in the Philippines, held a baptism at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Acacia. Right after, a “Welcome, Kapatid Ko” activity was held.

“We are so delighted that, barely two months after dedicating to God our house of worship, two major district activities were held. We look forward to even greater successes, especially in the works of propagation,” said Acacia’s resident ministerial worker Brother Rocky Alcampor on behalf of the brethren.

Baptism

District supervising minister Brother Esmeraldo S. Sibuma taught the baptismal candidates about the importance of receiving baptism inside the true Church Of Christ to be assured of salvation on Judgment Day. Afterwards, district edification overseer Brother William Lumida administered their taking of oath of membership before proceeding to the baptismal pool for their immersion into the water, which was conducted by Brothers Jayson Angeles and Marlon Marcelo, ministers of the gospel.

Among the brethren instrumental in the new members’ conversion was local secretary Leny Yakit from Tagburos Congregation. “They faced trials. But despite all that, with God’s help, they were still able to reach baptism. To God be all the praises.”

“I thank the Lord for calling me into the true Church Of Christ,” enthused newly baptized Shaira Jen Labitad. “Praises be to God. I now have the right to render true worship of Him and thereby attain everlasting life,” added another newly baptized, Heart Krizzel Nastor.

‘Welcome, Kapatid Ko’

After the baptism, brethren and Church officers gathered with the new members for a “Welcome, Kapatid Ko” activity. The district Light Of Salvation overseer Brother Ignacio Garcia Jr. led the opening prayer and opening remarks. Then, district Christian Family Organizations overseer Brother Michael Gayanilo introduced them to their respective organizations.

Officers from Buklod, KADIWA, and Binhi likewise warmly welcomed their newly baptized brethren and encouraged them to be active in Church activities.

“I will continue encouraging the new brethren to participate, especially in youth activities,” said KADIWA president Ruffo Fernando of Sunrise Extension. “I will lead them in attending many Church endeavors,” said Binhi president Krystyn Mariah Guimayen. — With assistance from James Llegado
