The Ecclesiastical District of New Zealand South hosted Buklod Night events for married brethren in Otago and Invercargill regions.
The former, consisting of brethren from the Local Congregations of Cromwell and Queenstown, held the said activity at Marsden Lake Resort in Cromwell on November 9. The latter, consisting of those from the Local Congregations of Invercargill, Invercargill South, and Dunedin, gathered at the Cabbage Tree Restaurant, Invercargill on November 16. District supervising minister Brother Uziel Bongares led both gatherings during which he gave the attendees biblical advice on marriage and family life.
The gatherings were filled with interactive group activities and games that promote teamwork and unity. Select brethren performed their renditions of INC original music. Children also took the opportunity to express their love and appreciation to their parents by giving them flowers.
Deaconess Shella Jean Cariño from the Local Congregation of Cromwell said, “It is more than just an enjoyable gathering. It’s also a reminder of our sacred duties as husband and wife.” She added that the activity reminded her that, “marriage is not just a partnership but one that is centered on serving and glorifying the Almighty God.”
“I’m inspired to be more patient, understanding, and loving toward my spouse and family,” said Czarina Pangan from the Local Congregation of Invercargill South. She added, “Simple acts of kindness and open communication can strengthen our relationship and help us live in harmony. My family and I will make sure to remain active in all Church activities and will always prioritize our worship of God.”
“Such kind of activity makes the parents guided not only in their relationship as married couples but in how they lead their entire family to the Christian way of life,” said district multimedia adviser Brother Glenn Mergas. — With assistance from James Thadeo Villanueva
