Three days after reaching its 25th anniversary on January 29, 2026, the Local Congregation of Windham, Connecticut marked this momentous occasion on February 1 with a special worship service.
Its members gathered in their house of worship, despite inclement, snowy weather, in order to thank and praise the Lord God for His blessings for the past quarter century.
Brother Edward M. Maranan, a minister of the gospel, was sent by the Church Administration to officiate at the sacred gathering. In his Bible-based preaching, he emphasized that no matter what happens, the brethren must live in a manner worthy of the gospel to be certain of attaining eternal life.
Also present at the significant occasion was the New York District supervising minister Brother Sheridohn R. Santos, along with the rest of the district leadership.
Brother Clifford Stirba Sr., head deacon and a pioneer member, expressed his gratitude to God for witnessing the congregation’s journey from its humble beginnings to its growth, and for being part of such a blessed occasion.
In a related development, the brethren held back-to-back activities on days leading up to the congregation’s silver anniversary.
On January 23, they conducted an evangelical mission at their house of worship. The study of God’s words, led by the district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer Brother Jason Flores, was also witnessed through livestreaming by guests and brethren gathered at the Cranston, Rhode Island Extension’s place of worship.
The following day, January 24, the brethren extended help to those in need by holding an INC Giving activity for the benefit of Project PIN Food Pantry located at 23 Village Center Circle in Moosup, Connecticut. They donated food parcels, which included basic necessities and toiletries. — With reports from District Multimedia
