“We are thankful to God and the Church Administration for the establishment of a group worship service (GWS) here,” enthused Grace Soriano, a deaconess from Balintawak Congregation, in CAMANAVA District, who wholeheartedly donated a part of her property at Brgy. Monbon, Sta. Margarita to be the place of worship of new GWS in the Ecclesiastical District of Western Samar, Philippines.

On August 5, 2026, the GWS’s inaugural worship service was held. It was officiated at by Brother Joel Agtas, assistant district supervising minister. In his Bible-based preaching, he emphasized that whatever persecution God’s chosen ones may experience, they must stand courageously in obedience to God’s commandments and on the side of the truth.

“I’m very happy that there’s now a GWS in our place for we no longer have to travel far to attend the worship service,” said Riza Botron, finance officer. “It won’t be difficult for us anymore to attend the worship service,” added Romeo Delos Santos, deacon.

On behalf of the brethren, Brother Agtas said, “We will all the more be zealous in our services and in participating in the activities launched by the Church Administration. We will also intensify our efforts in the work of propagation.”

The Sta. Margarita GWS is under the care of the Local Congregation of Calbayog City. — With reports from Mark Jherriel Inot
