In the Ecclesiastical District of Zamboanga del Norte, brethren attended the first worship service of the Local Congregation of Villahermosa, on March 28, 2026. For one and a half year prior, it was an extension.

The brethren from the said local congregation used to make up the Area 3 of the Polanco Congregation. Seeing the progress every step of the way, pioneer member Rosalinda Andog reminisced, “Before, I used to walk more or less three kilometers just to attend worship services with the Polanco Congregation.” Regarding the recent development, she added, “I’m so happy that I witnessed the establishment of this congregation. I promise to help encourage people in our area to know the true God and be saved.”

Brother Eljun Romaguera, district Technical Support for Videostreaming coordinator, officiated the holy gathering. In his homily, he taught the brethren a Bible-based lesson emphasizing how God provides help to His chosen ones. As He wants them to receive salvation on Judgment Day, He will help them triumph whatever trials they are in, no matter how severe. In return, they should remain hopeful, always turning to God for help by means of prayer, especially during the worship services.

To uphold worship services and thereby be pleasing to God’s sight, “we aimed at bringing the worship service closer to the brethren’s homes,” recalled head deacon Eulogio Lagudas Jr. “Now, we’ve finally become a local congregation. To God be all the honor and glory.”

“I will continue to edify the faith of the brethren under my care and encourage them to help share their faith to more people to also attain salvation,” shared Brother Rey Mark Eguia, resident ministerial worker. “I will encourage them to be more dedicated to their services in order to give pleasure to God.” — With assistance from District Multimedia
