In the Ecclesiastical District of Northern Africa, the Soul Clinic Extension, Liberia and the Kisumu Group Worship Service (GWS), Kenya, were recently elevated to local congregation status.

The members of each new congregation held the inaugural worship services on July 19 and August 2, 2026, respectively.

District supervising minister, Brother Dernilo R. Pascua, officiated at both gatherings.

“It’s a great blessing for the brethren to experience such an event in their lives,” said Brother Moises Caampued, Soul Clinic Congregation resident minister. “Even though we faced many challenges and troubles, God was there to help us. We praise God for helping us reach this day.”

Sianneh Lakeh, finance officer, enthused, “I’m very proud and happy for God allowed our extension to develop even more.”

The inaugural worship service of the Soul Clinic Congregation took place at its place of worship, which is a rented property along Kaymah Town Road, Montserrado County, Liberia.

The Soul Clinic Congregation was formerly an extension of the Mount Barclay Congregation.

Meanwhile, the inaugural worship gathering of the Kisumu Congregation was held at its place of worship, which is an events hall along Kibos Road, Kondele, Kisumu City, Kenya.

Brother Ziam Condor serves as the current resident ministerial worker.

Before becoming a full-fledged congregation, Kisumu was supervised by the Kibera Congregation.

In both occasions, new Church officers took their oath of duty.

“I am so thankful to our Almighty God for calling me in the Church,” said Maurice Akwiri, newly sworn-in head deacon of Kisumu. “I promise that I will remain loyal and faithful to God and to the Church Administration and I will keep on sharing my faith with my fellowmen.”

Brethren from both congregations were exhorted by the supervising minister to never wane in their zeal in serving God. No matter what happens, he advised them, they must prioritize serving the Lord, for, in turn, they can fully hope for Him to come to their rescue should they face perils in life. — With assistance from Ziam Condor
