Three local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Malaysia jointly held a two-day blood donation drive on March 18 and 19, 2023 in collaboration with the Malaysian Red Cross.
Buklod officers and members led all brethren-volunteers from local congregations of Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, and Subang Jaya in donating blood, the collection of which was administered by Red Cross personnel.
“Willing to be of help to their fellowmen, the brethren positively responded by preparing for this blood donation drive, which was why many qualified as donors,” said Brother Mc Daniel Martinez, resident ministerial worker of the Bangsar Local Congregation.
The fifty-seven bags of blood collected were received by the Pusat Darah Negara (National Blood Centre), a blood bank along Jalan Tun Razak, Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Long-time donor, Roberto Alico Jr., KADIWA president at Bangsar, said, “It’s always a pleasure not only to be of help to my fellowmen in need of blood [transfusion] but also to unite with the Church Administration through this humanitarian activity.” — With reports from INC News Section
