Children’s Worship Service (CWS) officers from the Dau–Mabalacat cluster of the Ecclesiastical District of Pampanga North aimed to further strengthen their bond and cooperation through a team building activity on July 11, 2026.

Gathered at the chapel compound of the Bical Congregation, CWS officers from the congregations of Dau–Mabalacat, Bical, Dau Homesite, Brgy. Village, Sapang Biabas, and Mauaque participated in experiential learning activities such as “Hula Hoop Pass,” “Build It Challenge,” and “Teamwork: Stack Up.”

Armhel Cruz, a CWS teacher from the Bical Congregation and one of the event organizers, explained, “Activities like these strengthen the CWS officers by fostering camaraderie, improving communication, and developing effective leadership in carrying out their responsibilities.”

The activity began with an opening prayer led by Brother Florence Simodlan, resident ministerial worker of the Bical Congregation. This was followed by the opening remarks delivered by Cruz.

“The importance of team building for the CWS officers is that it fosters strong relationships among them and provides an opportunity for officers from different congregations in the district to get to know one another,” observed Jeffrey Ocampo, a CWS teacher from the Sapang Biabas Congregation. He added, “Through the experiential learning activities, their unity, communication, and teamwork were put into practice as they worked together and developed effective strategies to successfully accomplish each activity.”

According to Cruz, “The activity helped the CWS officers develop the skills needed to fulfill their duties more effectively, particularly in guiding and caring for the children. During the activities, some participants took on leadership roles by leading their respective groups, much like how CWS teachers and officers guide and support their fellow officers in caring for the children entrusted to them.”
