They “are very active in sharing their faith,” Brother Arnold Christian Cabatan, Espiritu Santo Group Worship Service resident ministerial worker, described the GWS members who belong with the Ni-Vanuatu people.
Vanuatu is a country in the southwestern Pacific Ocean rich in natural resources.
With the help of God, on July 30, 2021, they reaped the fruits of their efforts at helping propagate the pure gospel during the recently held baptism led by the Australia East District supervising minister, Brother Felix Santos.
As the baptismal candidates gathered at their place of worship, through videoconferencing, they witnessed the biblical preaching of Brother Santos about the greatest blessing of receiving the promised salvation of those who will remain active in the Church Of Christ until the end.
Afterwards, they proceeded to the Awa’s pool in Luganville, Vanuatu for their actual baptismal proper led by Brother Lennil Lucky Puzon, a minister of the gospel.
Belinda Susan Ngwele, one of the newly baptized members, shared what made her strove to proceed with Bible studies on doctrines. “I was convinced of the importance of worshiping the true God. People should not worship just anyone or anything.” A previous Catholic, she further said, “Before, I worshiped idols, but now I understand that there is one and only true God I ought to worship.”
As Church membership in Espiritu Santo GWS continue to increase, the brethren promise to remain active in the intensified work of propagation. Whatever their condition in life, they have come to understand that “they are the true blessed ones because they will receive the promised reward on Judgment Day,” enthused Brother Cabatan. “This blessing and biblical truth is what they also want to share to their fellowmen.” — With reports from Jayson Cayabyab
