HAWAII - The Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in coordination with the Queens Medical Systems, held for a second time in September, a COVID-19 vaccination drive in Oahu, Hawaii.

The vaccination drive was held at the INC compound in Waipahu, Oahu, on September 25, 2021, from 9 am to 2 pm.

In preparation for this event, the INC partnered with the Honolulu Fire Department and the Honolulu Police Department to advertise and campaign this vaccination drive via road signs.

At least three days before the event, road signs displayed information about this vaccination drive for passers-by.

Edward Aquino, one of the event coordinators, noted the importance of sharing the faith through events such as this: “This is our opportunity to not only showcase ourselves as members of the Church Of Christ, but also to share our faith.”

Recipients of the vaccine were also given ‘Thank You’ bags with more information about the Church.

As part of the INC’s Aid To Humanity initiative spearheaded by the Church Administration, this vaccination drive was geared towards helping the community.

During the event, the INC also showed their appreciation to the health care workers from the Queens Medical Systems who helped out in the vaccination campaign.

Appreciation cards, gifts, and ‘Thank You’ messages to the health care workers were given by the Children’s Worship Service (CWS) during a live broadcast activity through the INC.

The Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) continues to grow worldwide and has reached 159 countries and territories, with its members from 148 races and nationalities.
