“We are thankful to the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) for conducting such medical mission to the elderly residents here. It is very important for their health nowadays,” said Evangeline Soriano, the head of Luwalhati ng Maynila Home For The Aged. “Currently, we have 397 elderlies in our supervision here in our complex. So, we have 201 grandfathers and 196 grandmothers.”
Sponsored by the Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS) from the Ecclesiastical District of Manila, a “CMDPS Cares” project benefited the residents of the said elderly care center. The facility is situated within the Manila Boys town complex at Narra Blvd., Parang, Marikina City, Philippines. The said humanitarian activity was held on December 9, 2021.
“We thank the members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo for their love and support to every one of us. We hope that this medical mission will continue to prosper to be of help to more people like us. We love you so much,” said Rolando Lapuz, an elderly at Luwalhati ng Maynila.
“Through your help to us here in the orphanage, we received bountiful blessings. Thank you very much to all the members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo,” said Conchita Oliva, an elderly at Luwalhati ng Maynila.
“During our activity today, we [CMDPS members from the District Of Manila] conducted several free services including blood sugar and blood pressure check for our elderly or senior citizens. We also gave them free medicines for their maintenance,” said Esther Peralta, CMDPS officer. She added that it feels good to help out because one of the teachings of God upheld by the members of the Church Of Christ “is that we should love our fellowmen and help our countrymen.” ― With reports from INC News Section
