With the help and mercy of the Lord God, the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in the Ecclesiastical District of Tokyo, Japan continues to grow as consecutive baptisms were held on September 27 and 28, 2021.
Both sacred gatherings were officiated by Brother Manny Benedicto, the district supervising minister. They were held in the houses of worship of the Local Congregations of Saitama and Hamamatsu, respectively.
One of those who received baptism in Saitama was Alvin Susetyo, who learned about the Church Of Christ through his friend. “Since I was introduced into the Church, I have seen the love of brotherhood. I was also encouraged to join the Church as I understand the truth about the One and only true God,” he said.
“In spite of the difficult situation of the world, the brethren continue to help in the work of propagation that resulted to many people joining the Church,” said Brother Benedicto, in an interview. “God’s help and blessings are evident in every Church member, that no matter what hardships they experience; they continue to fulfill His will of sharing the true faith.”
During the preaching of God’s words before the immersion in water, he exhorted the candidates for baptism in both venues to lead a righteous way of life, now more than ever, for them to be deemed worthy of God’s blessings and salvation.
Interviewed newly baptized brethren vowed to cherish the day of their baptism by remaining firm in their divine calling. For through this, they were given the right to render the true worship of God and be assured of salvation on Judgment Day. — With reports from INC News Section
