The dedication of his co-workers to their services to God inside the Church Of Christ prompted Jonel Albusano to know more about the Church. “Last year, even if there’s a pandemic, I saw how they prioritized their worship services and other activities through online. What is it about this Church that makes its members are so dedicated? That’s the time I was encouraged to also join the Church,” he said.
After fully understanding God’s teachings upheld in the Church and completing the requisites for baptism as taught in the Bible, Jonel and other prospective members in the Ecclesiastical District of CAMANAVA, arrived early at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Malinta on July 28, 2021 to receive their holy baptism.
Brother Virginio Ramilo II, assistant district supervising minister, officiated the sacred occasion. In his Bible-based preaching, he encouraged the candidates for baptism to continue their steadfastness in giving praises to God by obeying His commands. By doing so, His blessings will outpour into their lives, most especially in the life to come by attaining the promised salvation.
Having this great privilege, Jonel strives to share his faith despite the pandemic. “I will start first with my family. I will invite them to our worship services. Then, to my friends, coworkers, acquaintances, and neighbors who are not yet members of the Church. I also want them to learn the words of God so that they will be enlightened and become members of the Church,” he eagerly said.
“We will not cease helping in the work of propagation especially now that it is being intensified by the Church Administration,” promised Brother Alex Buenaventura, a minister of the gospel.
The health protocols implemented by the government were strictly followed throughout the event as the Philippines’ entire National Capital Region (NCR)—where CAMANAVA is located—was under General Community Quarantine (GCQ).
