In the Philippines, the Ecclesiastical District of Quezon City hosted special gatherings for members of the Christian Brotherhood International (CBI), and Christian Employees Association (CEA).

CBI
On August 17, 2024, around 500 students convened for a special gathering that was held at the house of worship of Batasan Hills 1 Congregation, with Brother Virgilio A. Del Rosario Sr., district supervising minister, officiating. Among them were graduates this year who offered thanksgiving to the Lord God for guiding them and granting them success in their studies.

In his homily, Brother Del Rosario quoted from the Bible to prove that God Himself commands His servants to seek wisdom. He further added that God expects His people to  strive even more to gain wisdom of His words, which they should always follow for them to do the things which are pleasing to Him. Brother Del Rosario then reminded the students, being also youth members of the Church, to scrutinize the information they receive so that they may not stray from their divine election.

“Thankful for the inspiration and strength” she received, district CBI chairperson Cristy Valdez expressed that she “was truly blessed.”

CEA
On August 30, 2024, more than 300 employees from both public and private sectors gathered at the house of worship of Fairview Congregation, wherein they commemorated the 38th anniversary of CEA, and thanked the Lord God for constantly guiding its members in their daily work.

Brother Del Rosario also officiated at the holy gathering wherein he reminded the attendees that as much as it is important that they persevere and remain industrious in working to meet their daily needs, doing things that please the Almighty God should remain their top priority being His people in these last days. Brother Del Rosario added that Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members should serve as role models of diligence and honesty wherever they may be.

Rowel Braceros, district CEA president, expressed his gratefulness “for always being guided with God’s counsel. This inspires Church members, fortifies them in the faith, which they so needed to carry on with the performance of their God-given duties despite having busy schedules.”

Significance
“In the special gatherings, the brethren were reminded that there is something more important than the pursuit of worldly riches and wisdom: our election and the salvation promised us,” said Brother Del Rosario. “The Church Administration continues to guide our brethren with God’s words so that, in whatever they do, they are certain of giving joy and glory to Him.” — With reports from Elizer Felix Hebrew
