Church officers from the neighboring countries of Czech Republic, Hungary, Croatia, and Poland traveled for more than three hours to Austria to be with their fellow Church officers for a special gathering on April 1, 2024. The activity was held at the Pfarre Akkonplatz Great Hall in Vienna, Austria.
“Even though we had to travel a long distance, but my family and I don’t mind at all, because we fully understand how important special gatherings like this are, especially in reminding us on how we can properly fulfill our duties,” conveyed Arsan Alcantara, a finance officer, hailing from Budapest, Hungary Group Worship Service (GWS).
The holy occasion was officiated at by Brother Vizar E. Balcita, supervising minister of Northern Europe District. During his homily, he reiterated to the attendees the characteristics that responsible Church officers have. Such are spiritually mature, motivated by love when fulfilling their divine tasks, and ever prepared to sacrifice when duty calls.
After the special gathering, those who have been performing their respective duties for 20 years and more received an award of recognition from the district leadership.
“The Church Administration desires that all Church officers are fully in line with their spirit in taking care of all God’s people so that no one among the elect would be left behind on the way to salvation,” said Brother Danilo Caalim, district Church officers overseer. He added, “We hope that many more brethren would decide to hold a duty in the Church to be additional helpers of the Executive Minister.” — With reports from Ruzchielle Andres of INC News Section
