A day before the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) School for Ministers (SFM) exactly reached its 50th anniversary, the Ecclesiastical District of Manitoba held a special gathering aimed at not only commemorating the said milestone but also encouraging more male brethren to join the holy ministry. It was held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Winnipeg South on September 15, 2024.

The attendees were joined by their families and loved ones, most of whom are Church officers. Together, they received God’s words as preached by Brother Roland Andrade, district supervising minister. In his homily, he emphasized the need for more ministers and ministerial workers to help in God’s last work of salvation, that is, His words be further made known to more people for them to heed and thus be saved come Judgment Day.

After the special gathering, Brother Andrade and Brother Felmar Serreno, assistant district supervising minister, led the ribbon-cutting for the photo exhibit mounted at the house of worship’s function hall.

Aimed for everyone to know more about the ministry, the said exhibit showcased the multifarious tasks entrusted to ministers and ministerial workers. There were even video interviews with some ministers detailing their life in the ministry, highlighting how God works for the best of His true and faithful servants.

“When our Almighty God is using the Church Administration to put out His call, that more would join the holy ministry, it’s important that our young brothers receive guidance on how to respond to that call,” said Brother Serreno.

“I wish to join the SFM,” said John Christian Abellera of the Winkler Local Congregation, for which he will “definitely pray more to help me with my faith.”

On the same occasion, additional officers from various local congregations were sworn in to their respective duties. — With reports from Ivan Joseph Pascual of INC News Section
