“To encourage and motivate the Church officers in our district to further intensify their efforts in the works of the Church,” said Brother Isidro Diña Jr., assistant district supervising minister in the Ecclesiastical District of Greater Toronto, of the special gathering held on November 19, 2023.
Brother Raul Adalla, the district supervising minister, officiated the holy occasion at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Midtown Toronto. It was livestreamed to the house of worship of the Toronto Congregation. More than a thousand officers attended.
During his Bible-based homily, Brother Adalla emphasized to the Church officers that they must be the first ones to be seen diligently doing the works for the Lord, always united with the Church Administration. Quoting Apostle Paul’s words of encouragement to the early Christians, Brother Adalla likewise reminded the Church officers that God never forgets the selfless efforts of His servants in upholding their Christian obligations.
After the biblical lecture, from the Toronto Congregation house of worship, the assistant supervising minister led the oath-taking of new officers in the Church.
“I feel really blessed that God entrusted to me a Church duty. I will make sure to fulfill it with all my heart,” said Ira Luisa Sonida, who took oath as a choir member. — With reports from Greater Toronto District Multimedia
