To further develop the skills of multimedia officers, and thus level up the performance of their Church duties, the Ecclesiastical District of Saskatchewan hosted a multimedia seminar at Saskatoon Congregation’s house of worship, January 19, 2025.

In attendance with the multimedia officers of Saskatoon were those of the Local Congregations of Humboldt, Lloydminster, and Regina.

“Today, we have an extreme cold weather. But still, they braved the road, showing their dedication to the duty entrusted to them, and their submission and unity with the Church Administration,” observed assistant district supervising minister Brother Felman Saren.

In his opening remarks, Brother Saren encouraged the officers to cherish and devotedly fulfill their God-given duties. Quoting the Bible, he reminded them that as God is the One Who appoints officers in the Church, it is also Him Who primarily expects that they value their sacred duties by fulfilling it to the best of their abilities.

“Multimedia has different branches of duties: writers, interviewers, photographers, videographers. That requires officers to have certain skills,” shared multimedia officer Ramille Joy Macaspac who was among those who led the seminar. She detailed about conducting interviews.

Other resource speakers were long-time district multimedia officers Brian De Castro, Angelo Cagaoan, and Eric Creo. They respectively discussed about photography, video editing, and scope of multimedia officers’ responsibilities. Then, district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer Brother John Alvin Ching, handed over certificates of recognition to commendable multimedia officers.

Demonstrating what they have learned right after the discussions, mock interviews were conducted by the participants. A socializing capped the activity.

“The Church Of Christ is a global Church. By performing as multimedia officers, they’re helping the Church Administration in bringing Church news to our fellow brethren, to our fellowmen and so that’s one way of also sharing the faith to them, giving them the opportunity to know more about the Church Of Christ,” said Brother Saren in an interview after the seminar.
