The newly-refurbished house of worship of the Local Congregation of San Pedro-Narvacan, in the Ecclesiastical District of Ilocos Sur, was dedicated to the Lord God in a worship service held on April 23, 2022.
Brother Manuel Santos, the district supervising minister, led the sacred occasion.
In his homily, he reiterated to the brethren the importance of the house of worship to the lives of the people of God. He reminded them of the biblical precept that they should love and take care of God’s house where He listens to the prayer of His people and pour out His spiritual blessings to them.
Built in 2000, the house of worship needed to undergo renovation as the years have taken a toll on the structure. The general renovation began on January 2021.
Some additions to the chapel included videoconferencing equipment, LED lights, chandeliers, air conditioners, a new sound system, and fire alarm and fire suppression system.
The INC Engineering and Construction Department also modernized the façade of the house worship and within its compound added a waiting area, a generator house, and landscaping.
“We are overjoyed because, through the Church Administration, God allowed that the house of worship in our congregation be refurbished. We are thankful to the Lord God for this blessing,” Brother Arjay Rodas Soriano, resident minister, expressed.
“We promise to take care of this sacred edifice and to be active in our services to God,” Edmund Soliven, head deacon, said.
