The Church’s socio-civic work continues unabated as members from the Ecclesiastical District of San Jose, Mindoro Occidental participated in a blood donation activity on January 30, 2021.
In coordination with the Philippine Red Cross in San Jose, the Church officers led their fellow brethren in donating blood. They first underwent a health check to make sure that they were fit to donate blood.
Explaining why it is good to donate blood, Raizan Lazaro, medical technologist, noted, “The more we donate, the more we lessen the possibility of incurring heart diseases.”
“For me, donating blood is important not only for my health but also to be of help to my fellowmen in need,” remarked Aldrin Ulayao, who was among the qualified donors. He added, “I thank the Church Administration for giving us this opportunity.”— With reports from INC News Section
