United in sharing the faith, brethren from the Ecclesiastical District of Sabah conducted a household evangelical mission on August 11, 2026.
For the said propagational activity, guests convened in 87 sites across the district received God’s words preached by Brother Ike Ebenezer M. Lowe, district supervising minister. The host site was the place of worship of Kota Kinabalu Congregation.
In his Bible-based preaching, Brother Lowe emphasized on the importance of firmly believing in God’s words as doing so will lead man to salvation on Judgment Day. He pointed out that not all who claim to know and serve God will be deemed worthy of salvation. He then expounded on the instruction of the Lord Jesus Christ for people to enter the fold which He redeemed with His blood for them to have the right to worship God and be saved; the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ).
Esmael Sta. Ana, guest from Keningau GWS, expressed that “The lesson was clearly taught. Everything that I heard came from the Bible, especially the teaching that entering the Church Of Christ is necessary for salvation.” Another guest, Rolly Enriquez, from Sandakan GWS, expressed his intent “to continue studying the words of God upheld in the Church Of Christ.”
Virgilio Suson, a head deacon from Kota Kinabalu Congregation, shared, “I strived to invite and bring guests to the evangelical mission for it is one of the duties which God expects me to fulfill for the benefit of more people.”
Meanwhile, as a result of the efforts of brethren in propagating God’s words in the previous months, the district held a baptism on August 22, 2026. It was held at the place of worship of Lahad Datu Congregation.
Brother Lowe, situated at the place of worship of Kota Kinabalu Congregation, officiated at the said gathering via livestreaming. Afterwards, Brother Bryan John Dora, resident minister of Lahad Datu Congregation administered the baptism.
“I am happy for being baptized into the Church Of Christ,” enthused newly baptized member Rose Marie Altomia. “When I heard straight from the Bible that entering this Church is truly necessary for salvation, I did not hesitate to obey this teaching.”
“Through their active participation in the works of propagation, the brethren in our district are able to prove that they are all the more focused in doing things that please God, one of which is sharing to people the news of salvation,” explained district Light of Salvation overseer Brother Jeffrey Pasco.— With reports from Julianito Langomez
