Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) officers in all local congregations of the Ecclesiastical District of Pampanga North, in the Philippines, held a special gathering at their respective houses of worship on March 25, 2024 during which they reaffirmed their commitment to their sworn duties.

With them were would-be officers who had completed the required seminar-trainings and who would take their oath of office.

Brother Arnel Agorilla, district supervising minister, officiated at the holy gathering from the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Angeles City. He taught from the Bible that Church officers who truly value their God-given duties remain firm in fulfilling their duties despite the trials and tribulations that they experience in life.

The whole proceedings was livestreamed to the rest of the congregations.

“The Church duty I received is a great blessing in my life,” said Jem Gatus from the New Era Congregation, who took oath as an INCTV producer of the district. “I firmly believe that God called me in this duty so that I can continue being of help to the Church through the talent and knowledge He sustains in me.”

“I will always place my Church duty above anything else. I will continue fulfilling this whatever happens in my life,” said 62-year-old Juanito Sangalang, a choir member from the Local Congregation of F. Manalo AC.

Seeing the new officers take their oath of office made 95-year-old deacon Jesus Tagala, from the Maligaya Congregation, reminisced the times when he “braved persecutions, dangers along the way, and long distances [he] had to walk just to be able to visit the brethren entrusted to [his] care.” He added, “I strived to remain loyal in fulfilling my duty,” who still actively fulfills his duties, for, “When I took my oath, I also promised to our Lord God that I will always love my duty, and will perform this until I breathe my last,” – With reports from John Louie Domingo of INC News Section
