“I am truly happy not only because our Lord God granted our prayers for our congregation to have a suitable house of worship, but also for I was able to witness this historical moment,” Helen Lim, a deaconess and finance officer, expressed.
On July 25, 2025, concurrent with their thanksgiving worship service in commemoration of the 111th anniversary of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), members from Darangan Congregation in Rizal East Ecclesiastical District, Philippines gathered at their newly-built house of worship to witness its dedication.
The 1,050-seater house of worship was built on a 2,500-square meter lot situated at National Road, Barangay Pantok, Binangonan, Rizal. Installed in it were a Johannus organ, state-of-the-art sound system, CCTV cameras, and fire protection system. Highlights were also placed around the house of worship. Also constructed within the compound were three parsonages, and offices for the resident minister and various departments.
As instructed by the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, the Church’s Edification Overseer, Brother Arnel A. Tumanan, officiated at the momentous gathering. During his Bible-based homily, he reminded the brethren to love and take care of the house of worship for it is there where God’s people worship Him. It is there also where they can primarily seek refuge in Him through their prayers.
Brother Tumanan then exhorted the brethren to strive in firmly upholding their divine election no matter what happens in their life. By doing so, they remain worthy of God’s guidance and protection for He Himself promises that He will listen to His faithful servants whenever they pray unto Him in the house of worship.
For Ronnie Rabisanto, leadership aide assisting in the pulpit, “It is truly heartwarming to be able to take part in this historic event.”
“The brethren in this congregation are once more inspired to continue fulfilling their duties and taking part in the endeavors of the Church which all give glory to our Almighty God,” shared resident minister Brother Wilson Arceo.
Brethren used to hold worship services in a 350-seater house of worship on the same lot. During the construction of the new house of worship, worship services were held in a 300-seater function hall owned by Gliceria Perpetua, an assistant group overseer, situated at Riverside II, Barangay Darangan. — With reports from Ryan Revilla and Camille Andaya of INC News Section
