During a special worship service on May 8, 2026, the newly built 253-seater house of worship of the Local Congregation of Bangkal was dedicated to God. It was officiated at by Brother Wilfred C. Sacayanan, district supervising minister of the Ecclesiastical District of Davao del Sur.

“We have long dreamed of having a beautiful house of worship. Our joy knows no bounds because what once seemed only a dream has now become a reality,” enthused head deacon Romeo Daragosa.

During the study of God’s words, Brother Sacayanan emphasized the importance of building houses of worship, being where the brethren can all the more strengthen their faith upon rendering solemn worship and prayer to the Lord God. The district supervising minister also encouraged the congregants to take good care of their new house of worship and remain steadfast in fulfilling their Church duties.

Dioscoro Ogabang, a deacon, said, “I promise to cherish this house of worship by helping care for and maintain its cleanliness along with its compound.”

“This development has greatly helped strengthen our spiritual life because we now have a more suitable and beautiful place of worship,” said Jun Diaga, also a deacon.

Situated in Brgy. Bangkal, Matanao, Davao del Sur, Philippines, the house of worship was built along with the congregation’s new parsonage and office spaces.
