“I was driven by my desire to know the truth in the Bible. I’m fully convinced that God was the One Who called and guided me towards the true religion,” said newly-baptized member Webster Labay from the Banlic Congregation, Calamba City, Laguna District.

He received the true baptism along with 108 other members on May 30, 2026 at the Calamba City Congregation house of worship. “I have dedicated my life in the pursuit of the truth in the Bible. I finally understood that truth here in the Iglesia Ni Cristo. It is here that people can receive salvation,” Labay, a former Protestant pastor, added.

The said baptism was officiated by Calamba City, Laguna District assistant supervising minister, Brother Solomon V. Donato. Before the actual baptism by immersion, Brother Donato taught a biblical lesson that each member of the Church is blessed. God recognizes them as His chosen people in the last days and are assured of being saved on Judgment Day. Church members then are behooved to live a life in active service of the true God.

“I’m truly inspired by God’s words that are constantly taught to me during the worship services. One of which is His command to help people know the true religion. I thank Him for helping me bear fruit today. I promise to serve Him actively no matter what I face in life,” said Maria Theresa Sanchez of Banlic who had first invited Labay to evangelical missions. — With assistance from Jayson Balisi and Ouial Baltazar Alqueza
