Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members in the Local Congregation of Nabongsoran, Ecclesiastical District of Masbate, in the Philippines, dedicated to God their new house of worship on March 1, 2025.

About 50 kilometers from the district office in Brgy, Kinamaligan, Masbate City, the 100-seater new house of worship is situated in the village of its namesake in the Municipality of Aroroy, Masbate. It has been equipped with state-of-the-art sound system and videoconferencing system. Offices for various departments and a parsonage were also built alongside it.

Brother Nepthalie Panes, district supervising minister, led the dedication worship service. He reminded the congregants by preaching a Bible-based lesson about the significance of houses of worship.

“The house of worship holds great importance for us in our spiritual life, being the place chosen by the Lord God where His name should be glorified. It is also here where we must present our supplications through prayer,” Brother Panes explained.

“I thank so much our Almighty God for He has answered our congregation’s devotional prayers, which is to have a beautiful and suitable house of worship,” said one of the congregation’s pioneers and deacon Jimson Gomez. “Be it that persecution and trials keep coming in our life, threats included, but we fully trust in His promised safekeeping. Our congregation is a testament to such God’s power.”

On behalf of the brethren, resident ministerial worker Brother Michael Rufo said, “We will continue caring for, valuing, and maintaining the orderliness of the house of worship.” — With reports from Raenier Moral and Princess Aeon Espinosa
