To mark its 17th anniversary, the Local Congregation of Batasan Hills 1, in the Ecclesiastical District of Quezon City, in the Philippines, held a musical competition on the night of November 2, 2025 at Sunnyside Heights covered court.

Organized by the local congregation’s Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers, the program started with resident minister Brother Dennis Centeno leading the opening prayer, which was followed by Quezon City District supervising minister Brother Virgilio Del Rosario Sr. for the opening remarks.

Afterwards, musical competition in solo, duet, and choir began. Talented brethren showcased INC original songs like Kahit Ako Ay Bata (Even If I’m Still A Child), Sa Tahanan Mo Mamamalagi (In Your House I Will Remain), Proud to be INC, and more. Guest performers also filled the brethren with delight during the anniversary celebration.

“I’m so happy that we have this activity celebrating our local congregation’s anniversary,” expressed Light of Salvation secretary and Children’s Worship Service (CWS) officer Jazmine Mariz Madolid. Deaconess Jessie Flores also voiced her delight “having witnessed our congregation grow because of our unity in doing God’s works.”

After all the performances, Brother Centeno led in awarding the winners in each category: KADIWA member and Society of Communicators and Networkers International (SCAN) officer Marichu Dela Peña stood out with her rendition of Magdiwang Tayo (Let Us Celebrate) for solo category; couple of Crispin and Monalyn Arce (duet) and CWS members (choir). Afterwards, local CFO overseer Brother John Arcy Reyes led the closing prayer.

“The Church Administration’s love for us was truly felt with the approval that this activity be held for our edification,” head deacon Gerson Gallemit enthused. On behalf of the congregation, he added, “Above all, we thank God for keeping us one with our Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, and for granting us victories as more years are being added to our local congregation.” — With assistance from Ma. Erchel Angelyca Resonada and Norielyn Goyala
