Two days prior to the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ)’s 112th anniversary on July 27, 2026, a total of 141 prospective members from the Ecclesiastical District of Albay, Philippines, were baptized.

The baptismal gathering was held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Legazpi City with Brother Ruel R. Reyes, district supervising minister, officiating. After Brother Reyes’ homily, Brother Noel Plaza, district edification overseer, administered the oath of membership of the baptismal candidates. Their baptism followed.

“Although I faced many trials, I did not weaken in my faith. God indeed gave me strength and peace. Every time I attend the worship, I could feel my burdens becoming lighter. Little by little, I came to realize that, whatever challenges I face, I have the true God to rely on,” said Marjorie Odoño, a teacher and newly baptized member from the Local Congregation of Basicao.

“Despite the persecution I faced, I remained determined to join the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ). It was not easy, but through the help and mercy of the Lord God, I was able to reach this day,” shared another newly baptized, Victoria Quiliza from the Local Congregation of Masarawag.

“We give thanks to the Lord God for today many people have received the true baptism,” said Brother Ariel Villanueva, district Light Of Salvation overseer, on behalf of the district.
