With the brethren’s active participation in sharing their faith, more people are joining the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in Iloilo, Philippines, where a baptismal gathering was recently held in the Eccleciastical District of Iloilo North.

The said gathering held on March 22, 2025 at the house of worship of Sara Congregation was officiated at by assistant district supervising minister Brother Ray Policarpio. During his Bible-based lecture, he emphasized the significance of the members’ sharing the true faith as it leads people to salvation on Judgment Day.

After the Bible-based lesson, the would-be members first took oath of membership prior to their immersion into the water.

In attendance with the candidates for baptism were the brethren instrumental in their conversion into the Church. Among them was deaconess Mameng Retirado of Jamul-Awon Congregation. “As a Church officer, It’s my duty to bear fruit—to share my faith with friends and loved ones. I devote myself in helping them reach baptism,” she said.

“I’m very thankful to God that I’m now a member of the Church Of Christ,” enthused Antoneth Samotia of the same congregation. Asked how she was introduced to the Church, she added that it was through Retirado, “a friend. She’d invite me to attend Bible studies and evangelical missions. Through this, I realized how much God loves me. That’s why I pray to God that may He also call into the true Church my entire family.”

Right after the baptismal gathering, a ‘Welcome, My Brethren’ activity was held. The Church officers congratulated the newly baptized as well as encouraged them to further attend the upcoming events in their district. — With reports from Jean Rago of INC News Section
