Blood donation drives, especially in this time of pandemic crisis, help save lives as more Covid-19 patients are in need of blood.
Starting the year with caring for their fellowmen, Iglesia Ni Cristo members from the Local Congregation of Ilugin, Ecclesiastical District of Metro Manila East conducted a blood donation drive at Damayan Covered Court, Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City, Philippines on January 6, 2021.
It was held in consonance with the health and safety protocols such as physical distancing and wearing of face mask and face shield.
Volunteer-brethren first underwent a pre-screening interview to know if they would qualify as donors.
Girlie Maye Nepomuceno, congregation’s secretariat officer, said, “I want to be of help. And it’s also my way of giving back, as my mother was operated some time ago and was in need of blood transfusion. Being it my first time donating blood, it is a fulfilling experience for me.” — With reports from INC News Section
