Aimed at promoting camaraderie and teamwork among the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) youth, the KADIWA Unity Race “strengthened the bond and the love of brotherhood among us. We had fun and made new memories with our families and friends,” attested Faithe Montalban, KADIWA president of the Local Congregation of Melbourne, Victoria, Ecclesiastical District of Australia West.

On October 12, 2024, the congregation’s KADIWA leadership organized the said activity at the Fitzroy Gardens in Wellington Parade, East Melbourne Victoria, Australia.

With the KADIWA members were the prospective members, doctrinal instructees, and the Binhi members. The games that the KADIWA officers prepared were Sack Race, Find that Flower, Puzzles, and Three-legged Race. The highlight of the race is the final task, which is to give copies of the Pasugo: God’s Message magazine to people within the vicinity.

Making the event more interactive, even paving the way for the youth to meet new friends among them, each player was randomly grouped into teams, namely, Green, Muffin, Red, Sharks, and Tigers. The latter was the first to complete the race, and thus declared winner and given a trophy.

Having moved to Australia just two years ago, Lorraine Dimayuga, a Technical Support for Videostreaming officer, was thankful having attended the activity she so enjoyed being with fellow youth. “More than just about winning, the activity aimed most importantly for us to stay together as a team,” she said. — With reports from Emmylou Sanchez of INC News Section
