Choir members from various local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Marikina attended their special gathering on February 9, 2025. It was held at the 1,500-seater house of worship of Parang Congregation, in Marikina City, Philippines, and was officiated at by Brother Romer Galang, the Church Officers Overseer.

“I’m very happy upon knowing that there will be a special gathering of choir members in our district. To prepare for this sacred occasion, I attended the devotional prayers and choir practices in our local congregation,” said FYM Avenue Congregation choir member Joy Sagasag. “I and my three children who are also choir members were very glad having attended the gathering. Gatherings like this show how our Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, always care for the spiritual welfare of Church officers, such as choir members,” said San Mateo Congregation choir member Hilda Tardecilla.

In his Bible-based homily, Brother Galang reiterated to the choir members the must-have qualities of Church officers so that they can continue doing what pleases God. The prayers before and after the homily were led by assistant district supervising minister Brother Renato Estrada Sr., and district supervising minister Brother Cyrus Dizon, respectively.

“I’ve learned that I should be devoted in fulfilling my duty and uphold a holy way of life to please the Lord God,” said Sta. Ana Congregation choir member Jennel Kate Fortin. “Being a choir member is not an easy task. However, recognizing that this duty is from God, I’m further inspired to continue fulfilling it even if I have to make sacrifices and encounter challenges,” she added. — With reports from Claidenn Villar
