With the noble purpose of bringing to more people the true knowledge about salvation, the Ecclesiastical District of Manitoba conducted a district-wide evangelical mission in the function hall of the Norwood Hotel, Winnipeg, Canada on June 30, 2024. The preaching of God’s words was relayed in English and French, which are the commonly used languages in the Canadian province.

Brethren from 11 local congregations, namely Brandon, Burrows, Neepawa, Rathwell, Steinbach, Weston, Winkler, Winnipeg East, Winnipeg Fort Garry, Winnipeg North, Winnipeg South, and the Portage La Prairie Group Worship Service (GWS) brought friends and acquaintances to the said venue.

Brother Roland Andrade, district supervising minister, first presented some Frequently Asked Questions about some of the beliefs of the Church Of Christ and their Bible-based answers using the French language. Afterwards, the questions and their answers were then delivered in the English language.

“It is very important for us to continue fulfilling our Christian duty, that is, to share our faith,” said Brother Ivan Joseph Pascual, the district CFO overseer. “We can see that many brethren attended along with their guests of different nationalities like Filipinos, Ukrainians, and more others,” he said.

“My husband and I were discussing how good your organization is. You do humanitarian work, and continue working to deepen people’s faith throughout the world. In addition, it’s a positive impression that this Church has been here for a long time now, not recently, and has reached 110 years already. That is truly amazing,” said Marie Thobe. She was invited by her officemate, Carlo Balaag, who also gave her a copy of the Pasugo: God’s Message magazine.

“We will continue propagating God’s words to all people for them to receive salvation, especially now that the Church Of Christ will soon be celebrating its 110th Anniversary,” said Brother Andrade on behalf of the district. — With reports from Jomar Villanueva
