More than 800 new officers took oath during the special meeting of all Church officers that the Ecclesiastical District of Makati, in the Philippines, held at the house of worship of the Parañaque Local Congregation on January 28, 2025.

In his Bible-based lecture, district supervising minister Brother Eduardo Olipas reminded everyone present to faithfully uphold their God-given duties. As holding an office is a blessing from God, he emphasized that they must be zealous in fulfilling their respective responsibilities as doing so helps in edifying the faith of the brethren and, above all, redounds to the glory of God.

Among the new officers who took oath that day was Casey De Leon from Evangelista Congregation. She was sworn in as a finance officer. “I’m thankful to God for entrusting me with this office. I will fulfill it wholeheartedly and devotedly, so I can give more glory to God and be of service to the Church,” she said.

Sergio Mesina Jr., Children’s Worship Service teacher for 21 years from the same congregation, stated, “As a Church officer, I promise to continue imparting the words of God with the children so that as they grow, they will remain steadfast in obeying God’s will.”

“My heart is filled with joy as I witness the oath-taking of new officers. For me, it’s a testament to the Church’s success in encouraging more brethren to hold Church duties,” said Carolina Liwag, a deaconess for 40 years now in Parañaque Congregation. “As long as I have life and strength, I will continue carrying out my duty until the end. I also vow to the Lord God to set an example for the newly appointed officers.” — With assistance from Moises Osorio
