Members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) from the Ecclesiastical District of Leyte East, in the Philippines, commemorated the Church’s 110th anniversary by taking part in an INConcert on July 28, 2024 and in community service projects two days later.

The musical presentation featuring Iglesia Ni Cristo original songs that convey uplifting biblical messages showcased select brethren’s talents in singing and dancing. It drew thousands of brethren from various local congregations of the district, filling the venue, the Leyte Normal University gymnasium.

There were also fun activities for doctrinal instructees and prospective members to participate in, making them feel more welcome in the true Christian brotherhood.

“Hearing about this activity filled me with joy; attending it truly edified me. I’m inspired to all the more be active in every Church endeavor,” said Ernesto Valiente Jr. from the San Roque Congregation.

The spirit of camaraderie continued beyond the concert as various local congregations engaged in community service projects on July 30, 2024. These were coastal and community clean-up, and tree-planting activities.

“The unity among the brethren was evident in their helping the community. That, in a way, also introduced the Church Of Christ to nonmember residents,” attested Brother Jonareff Urbino, resident ministerial worker in the Dacay Congregation.

Brother Raul V. Ramirez Sr., the district supervising minister, oversaw the said events. “All these activities remind us that the Almighty God is actively helping the Church. We celebrate the Church’s anniversary because there is so much to be thankful for regarding God’s blessings in His nation in these last days,” he said.
