A year shy of its 100th year, the Local Congregation of Las Piñas, in the Ecclesiastical District of Metro Manila South, held a musical presentation at the Mapayapa covered court along Galaxy Street in Mapayapa Village, Las Piñas, Metro Manila, Philippines on March 19, 2023. This signaled the start of a series of activities commemorating a historic milestone for the congregation.
The brethren were filled with thanks and praises to God as they gathered at the venue to witness the special musical performances of their fellow Christians rendering original compositions of the Iglesia Ni Cristo.
Among those who shared their talent in performing during the momentous occasion was Anna Leonila Diaz, a choir member and KADIWA officer. She shared that through her God-given gift, she was able to “use it in unity with the Church Administration as we thank God for blessing our local congregation with many years of triumphs in all of the Church’s endeavors.”
Her fellow performer and choir member, Joan Caballero, expressed, “I’m truly glad to be part of the 99th anniversary celebration of our congregation. I look forward to taking part in the upcoming activities as the 100th year of Las Piñas is approaching.”
On the part of the audience, they felt the enthusiasm of talented performers and singers, thus increasing the build-up of the brethren’s excitement leading to the congregation’s centennial anniversary.
“Mesmerizing,” enthused Danilo Infante, head deacon, upon witnessing the occasion together with his household. “The Church officers’ efforts in organizing this event are admirable,” he added. — With reports from INC News Section
