Brethren from local congregations in the Lanao Ecclesiastical District, in the Philippines, gathered for the district finals of the INC Unity Games on September 25, 2026 at the municipal gymnasium of Bacolod, Lanao del Norte.

“This activity aims to further strengthen the bond among the brethren in our district.  This also helps in making them all the more active in all of the endeavors of the Church, which is for the glory of God,” explained Brother Rene Estepa, district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer.

The activity commenced with a prayer led by Brother Dennis Raymundo, minister of the gospel. Then, Brother Jerry Ablon, district supervising minister, delivered the opening remarks. Afterwards, Brother Estepa led the players’ oath of sportsmanship.

During the activity, Buklod, KADIWA, and Binhi members competed in various sporting events such as basketball and volleyball, badminton, darts, chess, checkers, scrabble and Game of the Generals. After the events, winners for each sport and category were named and awarded with trophies and medals.

Choir member, Leizel Forcadilla, from Abaga Congregation, shared that she joined their congregation’s volleyball team “not only to enjoy with fellow brethren but most of all, to further prove my unity with the Church Administration.”

“The eagerness of the brethren in taking part in this activity is truly evident,” district Buklod president, Joseph Yancha, attested. “They did all of the necessary preparations, and even did adjustments to their schedules just to make sure that they will be able to participate,” he added. — With reports from Jhetro Dela Peña
