United in sharing the true faith, members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in the Ecclesiastical District of Pampanga North, Philippines, filled with guests the 5,000-seater Lapid Arena in Angeles City, Pampanga during their evangelical mission on October 4, 2026.
Brother Rene J. Panoncillo, the Church’s General Secretary, preached the words of God. Citing biblical verses, he proved that to attain eternal life in heaven, one must not only recognize the one true God but, more importantly, be recognized by Him and that is by joining the true Church Of Christ.
“The large-scale evangelical mission we held went smoothly and peacefully and proved beneficial to everyone who attended,” said Brother Arnel Agorilla, district supervising minister. “It brought joy not only to our guests but also to the brethren, who were able to take part in this significant undertaking—a great success for our district.”
Regarding the choice of the venue, Brother Albert Dy, district Light of Salvation overseer, explained that “it is the largest available in the area. This was also the first time we held an evangelical mission of this scale, bringing the entire district together. So, we thank God for giving us the opportunity to hold a large-scale evangelical mission here.”
Brother Abel Roman, Sapang Maisac Congregation’s resident minister, shared a glimpse of the preparation at the local congregation level. “A nearly monthlong preparation period was carried out … A Pasugo drive was also conducted in every congregation from Monday to Friday leading up to the evangelical mission on Sunday,” he recounted.
Per reports from the local congregations’ Light of Salvation committee, a number of guests expressed interest in learning more about the Church and its biblical teachings.
“I became more enlightened about the truth that there is only one true God,” a guest from New Era, San Fernando City named Cess Marin said in an interview after the evangelical mission. “I also appreciated … that the teachings being taught are based on the Bible.”
A guest from Friendship, Angeles City who identified as Rochell Gaspar, concurred, saying, “Unlike others that rely more on stories, the Iglesia Ni Cristo substantiates its teachings through the words of the Bible. I expect to learn more, deepen my relationship with our Father, and strengthen my faith.”
Another guest, a certain Oscar Basco Dalusong of Dau, Mabalacat City, disclosed, “I have heard the teachings of other religions, but here, I found the true teachings of God. That’s why I came willingly to the evangelical mission.”
On behalf of the entire district, Brother Agorilla promised, “We will strive to ensure that the efforts we have made will not go to waste by continuing to guide all our guests. With the unity demonstrated by the brethren, we are even more determined to ensure the success of the Church’s work of propagation.” — With reports from Myn Tinio, Gabrielle Delos Santos and District multimedia
