“We really looked forward to this. We planned and prayed for it and now that it has been realized, we are fulfilled seeing that it brought joy to our fellow youth,” said Gildy Brand Tino, the KADIWA president of the Ilocos Sur Ecclesiastical District in the Philippines, about the KADIWA Formal event that was held at the San Vicente Gymnasium on March 23, 2025.

He added, “For me, this event is a showcase of the willingness of the Christian youth to strengthen our bond with each other.”

KADIWA members from all over the district donned their best formal attire which complemented the ambience of the venue. They enjoyed musical performances their fellow youth presented.

“I can see that the event was really carefully prepared,” observed Glyca Anubis from the Local Congregation of Bantay. “I enjoyed the company of my fellow youth and I think that’s the highlight of this activity, having met with them who hail from other local congregations in our district.”

A snack and coffee station and a photo booth was setup for the event.

“The Church Administration wants the Christian youth to be closely knit in their faith,” said assistant district supervising minister Brother Kevin Casubha. “The world is full of influences that could ruin one’s faith so the Church has events like these that promote Christian culture among the members. The essence of this event is to cultivate brotherhood.”

Before parting ways, the attendees were served dinner and given souvenirs. — With reports from Edlyn Antolin of INC News Section
