Buklod, KADIWA, and Binhi members of the Local Congregation of Paraiso, Ecclesiastical District of Tarlac City, Tarlac, in the Philippines, convened for the INC Unity Games. The sports activity was held at Brgy. Paraiso Covered Court on September 13, 2025.
The local congregation’s Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers organized the event that engaged members in sports such as basketball, volleyball, and badminton. “It’s truly inspiring to bond with brethren through activities like this,” said ministerial worker Patrick Pacleb.
The event started with the parade of players, which was followed by local congregation CFO overseer Brother Kim Quiambao leading the prayer and opening remarks. Afterwards, local congregation Buklod president Mark Simon led the oath of sportsmanship, and local congregation KADIWA president John Laurence Abuan for additional reminders and instructions.
Four teams, composed of Buklod and KADIWA players, competed for basketball. There were also four teams for volleyball, but were subdivided into two to meet its male and female categories. Singles match for badminton were participated in by Binhi and more KADIWA members.
“We united to provide a day of further strengthening the brotherhood while we enjoy various sports activity,” shared volleyball player Janielle Del Rosario. Male volleyball player Elbert Narciso added, “This Unity Games invigorated us spiritually and physically, which is vital in the performance of our duties.”
After the games, resident minister Brother Chris Eraño De Lazo led the awarding of winners and the closing prayer. “Thanks be to God for activities like this being supported by the Church Administration,” he expressed, adding on behalf of the congregation: “We will remain united with all the activities in the Church as these please God.” — With reports from Armanda Briñosa
