BOCAUE, Bulacan — On July 12, 2025, the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) organized a blood donation drive at the Philippine Sports Stadium—a venue that once served as a quarantine facility during the COVID-19 pandemic. The activity aimed to support local hospitals and help save lives.
More than 200 units of blood were collected during the event, benefiting the Philippine Heart Center (PHC) and the Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital (JBLMGH). Volunteers from the INC Ecclesiastical District of Bulacan South participated by donating blood in large numbers. Brother Leo Gerrad Marc Lazaro, an INC minister, expressed pride in utilizing a historic facility for a meaningful cause. “The Philippine Sports Stadium helped our country during the pandemic, and today, it’s again a venue to serve the community,” he said.
Dr. Bethany Joy Ramos of JBLMGH shared her appreciation and gratitude for INC’s ongoing support. “Blood donation drives like these are critical because many people need blood daily. We are grateful to INC for their continuous help, which benefits patients not only in Pampanga but across the Philippines,” she said.
Brother Eufracio Castillo Jr., District Supervising Minister of INC in Bulacan South, emphasized the spirit of volunteerism among INC members. “Our members donate their blood willingly because they want to help those sick,” he shared.
This initiative reflects INC’s commitment to community service and public health through organized outreach and volunteerism. The Church continues to promote compassion and unity, making a lasting, positive impact on society.
The Iglesia Ni Cristo is a Christian religion in more than 160 countries and territories and a community partner that helps.
